Tour Overview:
• Travel from Galle city to village on a boat.
• Cycle through a lesser-known village.
• Engage in a unique Cooking Lesson & enjoy a complete Sinhalese meal.
• Includes: Host, boat ride, bike ride, Cooking Lesson and lunch.

Travel by boat with a local naturalist to a lesser-known village by cycle through the patches of the jungle, paddy fields and local neighborhood. End the experience with cooking up a gracious Sinhalese meal.

This is an experience to explore the quintessential village life of southern Sri Lanka. ‘Wakwella’, situated on the country’s South-West corner, provides a niche experience of countryside. We mark the Beginning of venture with a boat ride along a local river observing the local bird and aquatic life. The boat is led by a local naturalist who will revesval facts about the natural history of the river.

 

As we approach the dock, a cycle ride or a Tuk-Tuk ride can be arranged according to your preference to travel through this picturesque local village. which gives a glimpse in to the simple lives of the local community. Midway, we stop at a vendor to pick up local vegetables for a cooking session. Advancing, we reach a traditional wattle and daub hut to prepare a Sinhalese feast. While we cook along with the host, we get to know more about local ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques. We conclude the experience with an extensive Sinhalese lunch.
