Kalpitiya has two distinct kite surfing seasons. The first runs from mid-December to mid-March, coinciding with the peak season along the west coast. The second season stretches from May to October, offering similarly dependable weather. Both periods are warm, mostly dry, and breezy, with changing wind directions to keep things interesting.
